Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old to use JPOS. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

You’re responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Notify us promptly at support@japanpropertyos.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

Use JPOS only for its intended purpose — organizing and evaluating property information for your own acquisition decisions. Don’t use it to violate any law, infringe anyone’s rights, or interfere with the service or other users.

JPOS lets you record information about third parties you’re working with — agents, lawyers, translators, contractors, and similar contacts. You’re responsible for having an appropriate legal basis and any necessary consent to submit that information, and for how you use it.

You may upload documents (such as contracts, inspection reports, and photos) related to properties you’re tracking. You’re responsible for the content you upload and for having the right to upload it.

JPOS also lets you import details from a third-party listing page by providing its URL. We fetch and extract information from that page on your behalf; we don’t control, vouch for, or take responsibility for the accuracy of third-party listing content, and your use of any third-party site remains subject to that site’s own terms.

You own the content you submit to JPOS — your properties, notes, documents, contacts, and everything else you enter. You grant us a limited license to store, process, display, and otherwise use that content solely to operate and provide the service to you, including through the service providers described in our Privacy Policy. We don’t use your content for any other purpose.

The JPOS application itself — its design, software, and branding — is our intellectual property. These Terms don’t grant you any rights to it beyond using the service as intended.

Some features use AI (including Google’s Gemini API) to extract or generate information — for example, pulling details from a listing page, or computing a Suitability Score. AI-generated or AI-extracted output may be incomplete or contain errors. You should independently verify any information that matters to your decision before relying on it.

Japan Property OS is decision-support software. It does not provide legal, tax, investment, real-estate brokerage, appraisal, inspection, lending, or other licensed professional advice or services. Nothing in the application should be treated as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional, and you should consult one whenever appropriate for your situation.

We aim to keep JPOS available and reliable, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind beyond what applicable law requires.

• Your first property is free — no credit card is required to add it.
• Adding further properties requires a paid subscription, currently USD $19.99/month.
• Your subscription renews automatically every month until you cancel.
• You can cancel online at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal, accessible from your account settings.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep access through the period you’ve already paid for, and you won’t be charged again after that.
• Payments already made are generally non-refundable. We may nevertheless provide a refund where required by applicable law, or at our discretion — we don’t automatically prorate or promise a partial refund for time remaining in a billing period.

You may stop using JPOS and request deletion of your account at any time by emailing privacy@japanpropertyos.com. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Japan Property OS and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including decisions made based on information or AI-generated output in the application. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of- laws principles, and any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we’ll update the effective date above. Continuing to use JPOS after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
